Another busy week draws to a close. Here's what's been in the news in Vaudreuil-Soulanges over the past few days. 

Canada pays tribute to its fallen police officers

This Sunday, September 24, the 46th ceremony honouring fallen police officers is being held in Ottawa. 

Pizza Salvatoré to open in Vaudreuil-Dorion next January

In September 2021, Pizza Salvatoré confirmed to Néomédia its intention to set up shop in Vaudreuil-Dorion. This will finally be a reality in a few months' time, as a franchise of the family-owned banner will open its doors on Harwood Boulevard on January 4, 2024. 

Paul Stevens Park skatepark officially inaugurated

On Saturday, September 23 at 10:15 a.m., the Ville de Coteau-du-Lac invited young and old alike to the inauguration of its skatepark in Parc Paul-Stevens, which has undergone a facelift in recent months. 

Peter Schiefke Honours Exceptional Contributions

On Sunday, September 24, at the Auberge des Gallant, Peter Schiefke, Member of Parliament for Vaudreuil-Soulanges, saluted the commitment and dedication of 27 citizens and organizations at his annual Community Service Awards.

Upcoming art exhibition in Hudson in October

Halloween fun at Harwood Nature Park

From October 7 to 31, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., the public is invited to visit Harwood Nature Park (3900, route Harwood) to discover an evolving trail using a free mobile application. On October 28 and 29, participants will be treated to additional activities.

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges region well represented at the ADISQ Gala

On September 20, the artists nominated for the Gala de l'ADISQ 2023, a two-part ceremony to be held in November, were announced. Among the nominees are Matt Holubowsi, Patrick Watson and Alicia Moffet, three singer-songwriters with roots in Hudson and Saint-Lazare.
