The MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges announces $55,000 in financial support for the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

The funds received will be used to carry out projects and invest in the region's cultural and historical diversity.

Each year, in addition to the traditional Seigneuriales de Vaudreuil-Dorion, the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges offers a wide range of activities and exhibitions for different audiences.

Thousands of schoolchildren also have the chance to discover these exhibitions through workshops designed specifically for them. What's more, the children's book series Les aventures de Cyprienne, featuring the Museum's cultural ambassador mouse, is a wonderful way of introducing future generations to regional and national heritage.

This financial support reiterates the importance the MRC attaches to the region's cultural offerings and history," says Patrick Bousez, Prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Mayor of Rivière-Beaudette.

It contributes to the dynamic pursuit of the Museum's missions and activities, and makes its heritage and museum expertise, as well as its many resources, accessible to all the region's stakeholders. Finally, this support from the MRC and the 23 municipalities of Vaudreuil-Soulanges also represents, for the entire Museum team, a concrete and precious token of recognition for their work", concludes Daniel Bissonnette, General Manager of the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

In recent weeks, the MRC has announced some $75,000 in support for its regional infrastructure.
