Center d'action bénévole L'Actuel, an organization recognized by the Ville de L'Île-Perrot, will soon be offering two tax return assistance services. Appointments can be made now.
March 14: Nicole Bordeau's lecture at Saint-Lazare
Ville de Saint-Lazare and its public library are proud to welcome three inspiring public figures with unique career paths. These three renowned speakers will be at the library in March and April. Nicole Bordeleau, Sylvie Bernier and David Bernard will tell you, among other things, what healthy lifestyle habits mean to them. These talks are free of charge.
3rd edition of La Route des Arts de Vaudreuil-Soulanges underway
For its third edition, La Route des Arts de Vaudreuil-Soulanges will focus on two main events this autumn. Artists wishing to take part can apply until Sunday, March 3.
Walmart fire: Still no confirmed reopening date
A week after the fire that forced the closure of the Vaudreuil-Dorion Walmart, Walmart Canada is still unable to confirm when the store will be able to reopen.
Cégep de Valleyfield residence expansion completed
On Friday, February 23, Cégep de Valleyfield took advantage of a visit from the Minister of Higher Education, Pascale Déry, to officially inaugurate phase 2 of its student residence expansion project. Now complete, the building welcomes 139 student residents at the corner of Champlain and Saint-Thomas.
Relocation of the Cégep de Valleyfield clinic-school
Since February 2, the Cégep de Valleyfield's school clinic has taken up residence in new premises located a stone's throw from the college's main campus, at the corner of Champlain and Saint-Thomas streets in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Every week, the clinic welcomes patients from the Suroît region for "walk-in" consultations.
A second successful conference for the CCIVS
The Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CCIVS) organized the second edition of its Colloque sur les transports et la logistique on February 22 and 23, under the theme "Designing the supply chain of the future". Held in Sainte Marthe, the event attracted over 80 speakers, panellists and partners.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs, Andrée Laforest, has announced financial support of $400,742 for the RCMs of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Argenteuil and Deux-Montagnes, to help them improve their understanding of flood risk in their territories.

No future speed reduction on route 338 near Saint-Zotique beach
The 70 km/hour speed limit on Route 338, near the Saint-Zotique beach, will not be reduced as requested by the municipal council. Mayor Yvon Chiasson indicated in his "rendez-vous du maire", posted on the local Facebook page, that the proposal had been rejected by the Ministère des Transports et de la mobilité durable.
AHBDS to build new deck field hockey surface
A new deck field hockey surface will be built at the Cité-des-Jeunes arena, thanks to a partnership between the Association de field hockey balle du Suroît (AHBDS) and the towns of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, Pincourt and Terrasse-Vaudreuil.

Walmart arson: accused deemed fit to stand trial
Luciano Minisini Burke, 18, accused of causing a fire at the Vaudreuil-Dorion Walmart on Tuesday, February 20, was back in court on Tuesday, February 27. Following a psychological evaluation at the Institut de psychiatrie légale Philippe-Pinel, the young man was deemed fit to stand trial.
Closure of Lucien-L'Allier station
Exo would like to inform commuters on the Vaudreuil/Hudson line that, as of April 1, the Lucien-L'Allier station will close for major renovations until fall 2024. As a result, the line will terminate at Vendôme station. Users will be able to transfer to the Vendôme metro station to continue their journey.
