Another busy week draws to a close. Here's what's been in the news in Vaudreuil-Soulanges over the past few days.    

Pointe-Fortune improves its living environment and obtains 3 fleurons

The Corporation des Fleurons du Québec recently unveiled the horticultural classification of municipalities to be assessed in 2023, and the Municipality of Pointe-Fortune was awarded 3 fleurons.

Another gold medal for skater Maxime Deschamps and his partner

Live from Chongqing, China, Vaudreuil-Dorion-based figure skating couple Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps have done it again, winning gold on the ISU Grand Prix circuit at the Cup of China.

Activities organized in Vaudreuil-Dorion and Pincourt for children on forced leave

In anticipation of the school strike on November 21 and 23, the Town of Vaudreuil-Dorion has planned emergency programming to help parents without a plan B. Parents in Pincourt will also be pleased to learn that the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion has planned an alternative for children on forced leave. 

Île-aux-Tourtes bridge: New crack forces extended closure

A new crack detected on the eastbound (Montreal) side of the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge has forced the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) to close one lane of traffic.
