Four Gymini gymnasts shine at the Défi provincial
The first Défi provincial evaluation, held in Jonquière on Saturday November 11, was the scene of exceptional performances by Club Gymini athletes.
Four level 4 gymnasts took part in the event, brilliantly demonstrating the fruits of their relentless efforts over recent months.
All eyes were on the athletes, and they lived up to expectations, especially during the floor exercises, which were particularly impressive.
"A big bravo to Simone Baillargeon (9) and Rosalie Lafrance (8) for their impeccable round-off flic, to Sarah Audet (9) for her graceful salto avant, and to Mackenzie for her handspring flic avant, demonstrating remarkable technical mastery", says the sports organization in a press release.
However, the competition brought its share of challenges and learning. For Rosalie, Sarah and Simone, who were making their debut in Level 4, achieving the 85% pass mark proved elusive. Despite their best efforts, these young gymnasts did not achieve this milestone, but Gymini sees promising potential for the future.
In contrast, Mackenzie Kra (8), competing for the second time in a Level 4 evaluation, turned her previous experiences into successes. Proud of her accomplishment, she achieved a passing grade and is preparing to take on new challenges by participating in the Level 5 assessments.
"Club Gymini is proud of all its athletes. The road to sporting excellence is strewn with effort and determination, and these young talents prove to us that they are ready to take on every challenge with enthusiasm. Keep up the good work, Gymini stars, we look forward to seeing your light shine on new podiums!" we conclude.
