The Corporation des Fleurons du Québec recently unveiled the horticultural classification of municipalities to be assessed in 2023, and the Municipality of Pointe-Fortune was awarded 3 fleurons.

In so doing, the Corporation des Fleurons wishes to highlight the many efforts made by the Municipality of Pointe-Fortune to sustainably beautify the environment and enhance the quality of life of its citizens.

Of the 102 municipalities evaluated this year, 29 received an additional Fleuron. The Municipality of Pointe-Fortune improved its score to 3 "fleurons" thanks to its constant efforts over the past three years.

Fleurons are awarded for a period of 3 years. Classifiers visit 60% of the territory and evaluate all sites in public view, including public and private sites. Sustainable development initiatives (composting, community gardening, tree conservation, etc.) are also taken into account.
