Vaudreuil-Dorion: interesting programming at the Maison Félix-Leclerc
Since the beginning of March, the Maison Félix-Leclerc in Vaudreuil-Dorion has welcomed you Fridays (5 pm to 9 pm), Saturdays and Sundays (10 am to 5 pm). Evenings at the salon are also back every Friday at 7:30 p.m., with artists from the worlds of music, literature, storytelling and theater, until the end of May. All activities are free and do not require registration.
On March 23, at 2 p.m., Les Amis de Félix à Vaudreuil will host a literary salon, a convivial gathering to read excerpts from the works of Félix Leclerc or works related to Félix. Discussions and recommendations for further reading will round off the event.
Tales
The following storytellers will be on hand shortly: Carine Kasparian will present Sur le fil de l'instant on March 15, Francis Désilets will recount Le sac du quêteux on April 19 (reprise of the evening that had to be cancelled shortly before the holidays) and François Lavallée will offer Histoires on May 17.
Music
On April 5, visitors are invited to come and listen to Tristan Guay, a singer-songwriter with an assertive French style that veers between folk rock and pop. Then Lauriane Morel will be at Félix on May 3 to present À fleur d'été, a melodic and intimate show.
Theater
Thomas Duret's Éphémérides on March 22 deals with immigration by choice, abandonment, roots and remembrance. On April 26, the Les Philanthropes theater troupe will present a reading of Porc-épic, by David Paquet.
Literature
The now-famous Cabaret littéraire, hosted by Stéphan Daigle, offers three evening performances giving local authors and artists of the French language a platform to showcase their creations to the public. Guests this season include Natacha Marleau, reader, Pierrette Labonté, author, and Monique Pagé, poet, on April 12, and Annouchka Gravel Galouchko, reader, Lise Chevrier, poet, and Maud Evelyn, poet, on May 10.
Snacks and beverages are available for a small fee. Detailed programming is available at jesuismozaik.com.
