A moving farewell to Father Gérald Sareault
The funeral of Father Gérald Sareault, who passed away at the end of July, was held in Saint-Lazare on Friday, August 4. Bishop Noël Simard presided over the mass in a packed church to bid a final farewell to this much-loved man.

At 11pm on Monday August 7, Saint-Polycarpe and Saint-Télesphore firefighters were called to Chemin Saint-Georges to extinguish a vehicle fire. After checking, Sûreté du Québec officers found that the pickup had been reported stolen by their colleagues from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

A spectacular collision occurred shortly before 6:30 this morning on the ramp to Autoroute 30 from Autoroute 20 east, in Vaudreuil-Dorion. The driver of a heavy truck carrying parcels and mail fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a guardrail and then into a traffic arch owned by NA30.
