On this Tuesday, August 8, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges community is in mourning. The family of Gilles Boyer, long associated with the Réseaux organization, announced his death. 

Since the announcement, testimonials have been pouring in from all quarters to pay tribute to this well-liked man involved in his community. Here are a few of them: 

(...) Gilles was a wonderful person. I'm grateful to have had the chance to know him," wrote Pierjean Savard of Conteneurs Experts. 

(...) Gilles was a man of values, an endearing man, a man committed to his life with you, his love, his many friends, a generous and above all respectful man, added Yvan Cardinal, former mayor of Pincourt. 

Gilles was a good man and so endearing," added the publication announcing his death. 

It's a great loss for you, his family, his friends and the entire region. Everyone loved Gilles! We will all remember him fondly," said Patrick Bousez, Prefect of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC and Mayor of Rivière-Beaudette. 

My sincere condolences. Gilles played an important role in the lives of many people. He made the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region a collective cause by collaborating on numerous projects. His signature will never be erased," said Richard Dubois of Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges. 

What sad news... I offer you my sincere condolences and my thoughts are with you in this heavy loss. Gilles was known and loved by so many people in the region. His memory will remain with us for a long time," said Mathieu Miljours, General Manager of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

(...) Gilles was a great man who initiated major changes in the region. We will certainly miss him," said Josiane Farand, a well-known photographer in the region.
