The Fondation Aléo's Accès Nouvelle Génération program offered $124,000 in scholarships and services to 63 talented young student-athletes. Of these, four live in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.

As lifetime members of the Aléo family, these bursary recipients now benefit from support services that contribute to their academic, athletic and human success, in addition to amounts ranging from $1,500 to $4,000.

The young local student athletes rewarded are:

- Mia Douhou of Coteau-du-Lac - Athletics - $1,500 scholarship - Soulanges high school;

- Alison Douhou of Coteau-du-Lac - Flag-Football - $1,500 scholarship - Soulanges High School;

- Sasha Jouthe Klang of Coteaux - Football - $1,500 scholarship - Champlain College Lennoxville;

- Tudor Glaveanu of Pincourt - Volleyball - $1,500 scholarship - Collège Sainte-Anne de Lachine;

"The Accès Nouvelle Génération program is the realization of a clear and precise objective that I had in my vision for the development of the Fondation Aléo. We specifically want to make a difference for young student-athletes who are close to excellence, but facing challenges. The high road to the next stage of their journey can be climbed, and it's important for us to be part of that momentum. It's a door that opens for them to become leaders of their family, their team, their school, their community and our society. Breaking down a barrier is also how we open the way," says Patricia Demers, Executive Director of the Fondation Aléo.

From the very first cohort, the impact study carried out in the fall of 2023 revealed that, among other things, more than 50% of the program's young people joined a Quebec team and/or obtained a sports designation (espoir, relève, élite or excellence). In addition, the Fondation Aléo's support services helped three young people to stay in school, while nine others were able to pursue their sporting and academic careers in the highest-level college divisions. And that's not counting the boost each of them has received through public recognition of their achievements.
