Les Coteaux: work to be undertaken on rue Lippé still to be determined
In its March municipal magazine, Le Rassembleur, the Municipalité des Coteaux provided an update on the Rue Lippé issue.
In his mayoral address, Sylvain Brazeau gave an overview of the situation, pointing out that the work to be undertaken has yet to be defined.
At present, the Municipality confirms that it has received the preliminary versions of the geotechnical and hydraulic studies. These studies suggest various solutions, such as relocating the road in certain places and rip-rapping the Delisle River in some areas.
The final versions of the reports should be sent to the municipal administration in early April, enabling it to assess the costs associated with each of the proposed solutions.
Subsequently, the municipal council will have to take a position on the recovery scenario to be adopted, taking into account the various subsidies available. In addition, a notice of motion and a draft by-law were tabled at the February meeting to protect residents and buildings near the Delisle River from the risks associated with landslides.
