Île-aux-Tourtes bridge closes this Friday, December 22 at 11:30 pm
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec is informing Vaudreuil-Soulanges residents of a new complete closure of the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge towards Vaudreuil-Dorion. The closure will take effect this Friday, December 22 at 11:30pm and will last until December 24 at 5am.

Île-aux-Tourtes bridge: speed limit reduced to 60 km/h
This hindrance is required to carry out work on the damaged portion of the slab, and is aimed at reopening a 3rd lane as quickly as possible, says the MTMD. During this period, the bridge will remain open in the Montreal direction, and from 5 a.m. on Sunday December 24, one lane in each direction will once again be available on the bridge.
Traffic management
On Autoroute 40, westbound :
- Complete closure between boulevard des Anciens-Combattants and avenue Saint-Charles, from Friday, December 22, at 11:30 p.m., to Sunday, December 24, at 5 a.m;
Access to chemin de Senneville will be maintained for users needing to reach this area. Detour roads will be marked with temporary signage. The Ministry advises road users who will have to travel in the area to allow extra time to reach their destination.
