The group exhibition Nature insoumise, which opened on August 31 and runs until September 24, brings together 10 artists with very different disciplines and artistic backgrounds. The works of the participating artists, many of them from Vaudreuil-Soulanges, can be admired at the "Coups de pinceaux, coups de ciseaux" gallery, located at 4603, boulevard Saint-Laurent.

Among the visual arts talents taking part, who are well known in Vaudreuil-Soulanges, are Monica Brinkman, Philippe Corriveau, Émilie Léger, Natacha Marleau and Tina Marais. Natacha Marlier is also curating the exhibition.

The Nature insoumise exhibition is a kind of reflection-declaration, in the same vein as the "Coups de pinceaux, coups de ciseaux" gallery, a counter-reaction to the compartmentalization engendered by elitism and hierarchization.

This exhibition brings together artists from a wide range of disciplines, ages, backgrounds and neurodiversities. It highlights the multiformity of nature, a reflection of our own human nature, which we hope will be free and sovereign.

For those interested in discovering it, visits to the gallery will be possible on Thursdays and Fridays from 5pm to 7pm, and on Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm.The artists' works will also be available online at https://coupsdepinceauxcoupsdeciseaux.com/ during the exhibition dates.

The "Coups de pinceaux, coups de ciseaux" gallery has a social mission.Specifically, it uses the 30% it receives from the sale of artists' works to provide free haircuts to people in need.

The gallery also works to raise public awareness of mental health issues. The gallery also attracted the interest of this year's "L'avenir nous appartient" TV show: https://lavenirnousappartient.telequebec.tv/emissions/334684/le-saint-laurent-fleuvenourricier-des-quebecois-et-le-slam-de-pierre-yves-lord/70296/coups-de-pinceaux-coups-de-ciseauxune-galerie-dart-avec-une-mission-soci ale.
