Boom des Neiges at Mont Rigaud:

Boom des Neiges is just around the corner, and Mont Rigaud will be hosting an incredible weekend of festivities on March 8 and 9.

As it does every year, the ski resort celebrates the end of the season with a festive event where young and old can enjoy the pleasures of winter in a colorful and lively atmosphere. The tradition continues, with skiers and snowboarders invited to dress up for the occasion. This year's theme is free - let your creativity run wild.

On-site: snow tubing, maple taffy and local products, beaver tails and sweet doughnuts, live music and entertainment and jam in the snow park.

Location: Mont Rigaud (321 rue des Érables), Rigaud;

Time: 10 a.m;

Birdwatching excursion in Rigaud:

Drive. Meet at the McDonald's parking lot at Exit 17 off Highway 40. From Montreal, take Highway 40 west toward Ottawa. Species sought: winter and early migrant birds. Participants should bring warm clothing for short walks outside the car. It's also important to allow for possible changes in plans due to the weather. Car pooling is recommended to limit the number of cars. Several stops along the way. No reservations required.

Location: McDonald's parking lot at Exit 17, Highway 40;

Time: 8 a.m. to noon;

SIS Irish Festival 2025

Join us for an incredible evening of storytelling and comedy, as we toast this year's grand marshal, Frank Cavallaro. Many of Frank's close friends and family will be toasting him, which should make for a memorable evening.

Time: 6pm;

Tickets available at soulangesirishsociety.org.
