A man in his fifties, residing on 24th Avenue in L'Île-Perrot, was the victim of an attempted murder on Sunday, February 23, around 9:30 p.m. The day after the attack, the man is still fighting for his life in a hospital.

"Major Crimes Division investigators are in charge of the case and will work to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident. A crime scene technician was also called to the scene in the past few hours to analyze the area. At this time, I cannot confirm whether the man was known to our services or not. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made in the case so far," said Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Laurie Avoine.
