Amazon recently announced the closure of all seven of its Quebec warehouses, including the one in Coteau-du-Lac, within the next two months.

This decision impacts nearly 1,800 workers across the province, with several hundred employees from the Coteau-du-Lac facility set to lose their jobs. Package deliveries to customers will need to be reorganized.

According to Radio-Canada, subcontractor Intelcom might take over delivery and sorting operations.

At the time of writing, the City of Coteau-du-Lac was unable to comment on the news.

More details to follow.
