Pioneers show their dominance on the ice

On January 9, the M15 and M18 teams of the Pioneers from École secondaire de Soulanges delivered standout performances in their respective games against Westwood High School and Collège Boisbriand.

The M15 team traveled to Saint-Lazare to face Westwood High School. In a one-sided match, the Pioneers displayed overwhelming offensive dominance, securing a commanding 7-1 victory.

Émerick Laberge stole the show with an impressive 5-point performance (3 goals and 2 assists), while Olivier Laroche stood strong in net, making 23 saves to seal the convincing win.

Meanwhile, the M18 team faced Collège Boisbriand in the Lower Laurentians. Led by coach Marc Lauzon, the team achieved a resounding 8-0 victory.

Louis-Philippe Girard spearheaded the offense with 2 goals and 1 assist, while defenseman Luka Dubois shone by scoring his first goal of the season and finishing the game with an outstanding +6 rating. Goaltender Joah Leblanc earned his fifth win of the season with a stellar performance.

With this victory, the M18 team now boasts a strong record of 11 wins, two losses, and one draw.
