On Wednesday, January 8, the Pionniers de Soulanges U18 returned to action after a two-week break from the ice. For the occasion, they traveled to Saint-Hubert to attempt to win their first duel of the year 2025.

Mission accomplished, as they blackened the score sheet seven times. Opponents École Mgr-A.-M.-Parent did the same, but twice, for a final score of 7-2 in favor of Marc Lauzon's team.

Veteran Louis-Philippe Girard played an excellent game, finding the back of the net twice. He also had a good game in the face-off circle, with an 83% efficiency rate. Teammate Emerick Proulx also scored 2 goals in the win.

The Soulangeois begin 2025 with a 10-2 record and 5th place out of 17 teams in the RSEQ Montreal division.
