Ville de Saint-Zotique is looking for volunteers to install water meters at their homes, in order to draw up a meaningful picture of drinking water use on its territory. This free initiative is part of a municipal study aimed at optimizing the use of drinking water, protecting natural resources and meeting the objectives set by the Ministry.

In order to obtain a representative group of the population, the city is looking for homes of different types and sizes for the installation of some sixty devices.

Interested parties should send the following information by e-mail to [email protected] before January 10: 

- Owner's name;

- Address;

- Type of residence (multi-unit, townhouse, single-family, bigeneration...);

- Year of construction;

- Number of occupants;

- Presence of a pool or spa;

After analyzing the applications, the city will select the eligible homes and contact the owners directly.

Please note that there will be no charge for volunteers, and that the study will enable participants to benefit from this service free of charge. This approach is necessary to guarantee sustainable management of the resource and to ensure the continuity of water services for future generations.

Citizen participation is essential to the success of this study.
