11 Medals for Gymini at the Season's First Coupe Québec"
From December 20 to 22, provincial athletes from levels N-Intro to N7 gathered at Gymnacentre in Montreal for the first Coupe Québec in women’s artistic gymnastics.
For the athletes of Gymini, the competition was a success, with a total of 11 medals won.
Loriane Deguire (N7 15+) delivered an impressive performance, standing out particularly on vault with a 5th place finish. Her bars routine earned her the top spot on the podium with a gold medal. She also placed 6th in the all-around rankings.
Despite a challenging start on bars, Sarah-Maude Fillion (N7 15+) recovered with pride, securing 5th place on beam. She placed 8th on floor and finished 9th overall.
In her first N7 competition, Sofy Panfilii (N7 15+) stood out with a 7th place finish on bars.
Anaïs Robert (N7 15+) dazzled on floor, earning a well-deserved first place. With an 8th place finish on vault, she showcased new skills during her first experience in N7.
Océane Malonga (N7 15+) had a strong competition, notably with a bars routine that earned her 7th place.
Despite limited training due to an injury, Kaylie Moufrage (N7 15+) performed admirably, executing what she had practiced in training.
Overcoming nerves, Marianne Di Turi (N7 13-14) stayed on the beam and executed her skills with determination during her first N7 competition.
In her N7 debut, Noémie Vincent (N7 13-14) delivered a solid beam performance despite a fall.
Emma Lawn (N7 13-14) shone in her first N7 competition, earning an impressive 3rd place on beam and finishing 8th on vault.
In her first provincial competition, Laurie Riendeau (N-Intro 12) finished with a strong 6th place on floor.
Despite challenges on beam, Romy Latulippe (N-Intro 12) maintained a positive attitude throughout the competition, finishing 4th on floor.
Simone Baillargeon (N-Intro 11) demonstrated remarkable consistency, scoring a total of 33.95. Her score of 8.8 on beam earned her a bronze medal.
Sarah Audet (N-Intro 11) impressed on floor and bars, where she successfully performed a glide kip. She also showed significant progress on vault.
In her first provincial competition, Chloé Favreau (N-Intro 11) stood out on beam, scoring 8.55 for a 7th place finish.
Kara Panagiotopoulos (N-Intro 9) delivered a consistent performance in her first provincial circuit competition, finishing 11th on vault, floor, and in the all-around rankings.
Rosalie Lafrance (N-Intro 10) had one of her best competitions yet, finishing 9th overall and earning 7th place on bars.
Mackenzie Kra (N-Intro 10) excelled in this first selection event, securing 4th place on vault, a silver medal on floor, and a gold medal on beam. These performances earned her an all-around silver medal.
In her first provincial competition, Olivia Kra (N-Intro 13) handled the stress brilliantly, finishing 4th on bars and earning silver on floor.
Despite a fall on beam, Malorie Rozon Rodrigue (N-Intro 13) showed determination, finishing 6th on bars and 8th on floor.
Livia Stars-Duffie (N-Intro 13) participated in her first provincial competition with a positive attitude despite a few technical errors.
Olivia Fortin (N6 13-14) delivered a strong bars routine, earning 8th place. This performance highlighted her commitment and potential for the rest of the season.
Justine Brennan (N6 13-14) stood out on floor with a 5th place finish, thanks to a well-executed routine that showcased her hard work and dedication.
Marianne Blain (N6 15+) had a dream competition. Her outstanding routines earned her 7th place on floor, gold on uneven bars, silver on beam, and gold in the all-around rankings.
Mika Trottier (N6 15+) displayed consistency at the first Coupe Québec, earning 6th place on bars, 5th place on beam, and finishing 8th overall.
