Under the Fonds communautaire Écoprojets, la Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion offers a grant of up to $5,000 per project, taxes included, subject to the availability of funds.

A citizen, citizens' group, non-profit organization or institution may submit one application per year to the Fonds communautaire Écoprojets. The call for submissions for 2025 will be issued shortly.

In 2024, three projects were selected by the selection committee, including a Garden Brigade in the parks by the Atelier paysan, the implementation of composting at Papillon-Bleu Primary School, Saint-Jean-Baptiste pavilion, and the creation of shaded areas to allow for better use of the outdoor classroom at Brind'Amour Primary School.

The objectives of these projects are:

- Support initiatives and promote civic engagement;

- Support collective efforts that will have cumulative effects;

- Involve citizens and organizations in improving, enhancing and protecting the environment;

- Respond to the environmental objectives and aspirations of the city's various policies;

- Contribute to raising citizens' awareness of environmental issues;

- Develop citizens' sense of belonging to the community.

Submitting a project :

Applications must be sent to the Environment Division by e-mail: [email protected]. Projects submitted will then be analyzed by the Environment Division to ensure that they are compliant and complete in order to be eligible (refer to eligibility criteria, eligible expenses, obligations and project submission documents).

A selection committee will then evaluate the project according to the evaluation grid. Only projects that achieve a minimum score of 60/80 on the evaluation grid and the minimum score required for criteria 6 and 7 of the grid will be subsidized by resolution of the municipal council, subject to the availability of funds.

The entire process will take place according to the predetermined dates below:

- Project submission period: January 1 to February 28

- Analysis of projects: March 3 to 28

- Announcement of selected projects and 1st payment (50% of approved amount): mid-April

- Project planning and implementation: from award to November 15

- Submission of project completion form and proof of expenditure: by December 1 of the reference year

- Deposit of remaining 50% and project feedback: between December 1 and 23.

For eligible expenses, project submission documents and other information, visit the Environment section of the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion website.
