Operation Red Nose Kicks Off This Friday in Vaudreuil-Dorion and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

This Friday evening, November 29, Operation Red Nose officially begins its activities in the Vaudreuil-Dorion and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield regions. Once again this year, thanks to Operation Red Nose, thousands of residents in the Suroît area will be able to return home safely after an evening of celebrations.

For its 31st edition in the region, Operation Red Nose will be active on 12 nights in 2024: November 29-30, December 6-7, 13-14, 19-21, 27-28, and December 31. Last year, volunteers completed 317 rides in Vaudreuil-Soulanges and 409 in Beauharnois-Salaberry. A total of $45,000 was raised for Répit Le Zéphyr.

Volunteers Wanted

As in previous years, Operation Red Nose is seeking volunteers to escort clients safely home. Volunteers who donate their time will have the chance to win attractive prizes, such as a $300 prepaid VISA gift card or a trip for two to a sunny Club Med destination.

To sign up as a volunteer, visit the Operation Red Nose website under the "Become a Volunteer" section.

In a video interview, Jessica Mathers, Executive Director of Répit Le Zéphyr and coordinator of the 2024 campaign, and volunteer Catherine St-Amour explain what it’s like to volunteer during a typical evening.
