On December 7 and 8, children in Vaudreuil-Dorion are invited to visit the Elf Post Office at Maison Valois to send their wish lists to Santa Claus. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities and immerse themselves in the Christmas spirit.

Children will have the chance to stamp and seal their envelopes with Santa’s official wax seal. The elf mail carrier, Pinpheas, and his friends will be on-site from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to assist children and perform the magical ritual of sending the letters.

"A Festive Experience"
“The new format of the Elf Mail was a great success last year. Families now enjoy an extended activity that goes beyond simply mailing letters to Santa. By aligning the event with the Lumin’Art exhibit, which begins the same weekend at Le 405 Park, we’re providing residents with a comprehensive holiday experience,” said Vincent Bastien, Director of Recreation and Culture Services.

To assist the elves, children must write their letters in advance and place them in an envelope. No reservations are required, but spaces inside Maison Valois are limited.

An Inclusive Event
New this year, the time slot from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. will be adapted to reduce auditory stimuli. Adjustments will be made to create a calm and inclusive environment for children with special needs or those who prefer a quieter setting.

Visitors can also participate in the Elf Apprentice Path, which features stations for hula hooping, giant bubbles, circus and juggling, snowball tossing, and a “seek and find” activity in Maison Valois Park.

Participants who complete all the challenges will have a chance to win a prize. To warm up, attendees can enjoy free hot drinks available at the park chalet. The Caravane Mozaïk will also be present, offering a Christmas craft workshop.

Parking and Accessibility
For the event, the parking lot at Maison Valois Park will be closed, but parking will be available on nearby streets. A few accessible parking spaces for individuals with reduced mobility will be available near the site.

The complete program for the Elf Mail event is available online on the City’s website in the Recreation and Culture section under Activities and Events.
