Héma-Québec will be holding blood donor clinics in the region over the next two weeks.

Here are the dates and locations of scheduled clinics:

Monday, November 4:

- Bibliothèque Guy-Godin de L'Île-Perrot ( 120, boulevard Perrot, J7V 3G1) from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

- Hôtel Moco - Salon Empire (40, avenue du Centenaire, J6S 3L6) from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, November 7:

- Center Multisports André-Chagnon ( 3093, boul. de la Gare, J7V 9R2) from 10am to 8pm.

Thursday, November 14:

- Center communautaire de Saint-Lazare (1301, rue du Bois, J7T 3E6) from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

We recommend that you make an appointment to donate blood. However, if you are passing by a blood drive and are available to donate, don't hesitate to check with the team on site to see if they can accommodate you.

Before giving blood

In the hours leading up to your blood donation, we recommend that you drink a minimum of 500 ml of water or juice and eat well, avoiding fatty foods. To facilitate blood collection, wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up above the elbow.

You should also carry your donor card or proof of identity.
