La Grande Cuvée: Terrassois rainwater harvesting
The Board of Directors of La Grande Tablée, the non-profit organization behind Terrasse Café, announce its financial support for the innovative La Grande Cuvée project as part of the 2024 call for community projects.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Terrasse-Vaudreuil's Environment Committee, aims to raise awareness among Terrassois of the importance of reducing drinking water consumption, while strengthening community ties through inspiring artistic and educational actions.
The ambition of the La Grande Cuvée project is to create access points for reclaimed rainwater in several municipal locations, enabling the ecological watering of flowerbeds and gardens. Each water point, made up of 100-litre containers, will be decorated by citizens during creative workshops and community art events, adding an artistic touch to the public space.
Annual improvements are planned to continually enrich this initiative. As of summer 2025, awareness-raising and animation activities will begin with creative workshops, collective works inspired by the theme of water, and educational activities offered at the Terrasse Café and day camp.
