Patrick Morin commits to fire safety
For the second year running, Pincourt's Patrick Morin hardware store has donated $5,000 worth of smoke alarms to the Pincourt and Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot fire departments.
” On behalf of the municipal councils of both towns, I'd like to thank the Patrick Morin Renovation Centre and its director Fabien Bellone for this valuable partnership with the Pincourt/NDIP Fire Department,” says Claude Comeau, mayor of Pincourt. Our fire department will now be able to distribute smoke alarms to first-grade students in the elementary schools of both municipalities, with the aim of instilling safe fire-prevention behaviours from an early age.”
The donation of smoke alarms is part of a wider initiative to promote learning and awareness of fire risks. Thanks to this initiative, future generations in our communities will be better prepared to deal with emergency situations, reinforcing the safety of all.
”The generosity of the Centre de rénovation Patrick Morin is a tangible way of saving lives,” insists Danie Deschênes, Mayor of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot. Thanks to this generous donation, hundreds of children will be able to take home an essential device to protect their lives and those of their family members. These young people will become fire safety ambassadors for their families.”
