Pauline and Duckett Streets
Roadworks postponed until 2025 in Les Coteaux
The Municipality of Les Coteaux advises its citizens that the work initially scheduled for 2024 on Pauline and Duckett streets has been postponed until 2025. This postponement is mainly due to a lack of information concerning the sanitary network, says the locality.
The municipality is currently working on a network master plan to remedy the situation and ensure the sustainability of the infrastructure.
Pauline Street
The planned work on rue Pauline consisted of rehabilitating approximately 350 metres of existing water and sanitary sewer pipes by lining them, without digging any trenches. However, following recent inspections, it was decided to modify the nature of the work to incorporate improvements to storm drainage.
This will reduce the amount of stormwater entering the sanitary network, in a more sustainable way.
Duckett Street
Work on Duckett Street, which will involve the complete rehabilitation of 170 meters of pipes, has also been postponed to 2025. The configuration of the stormwater network is still under study.
Although the design of the street plans itself is straightforward, it must be thought through in the light of the future rehabilitation of the infrastructure of rue Lippé and all its cross-streets. A temporary pump will again be installed at the intersection of Duckett and Lippé streets during the spring flood.
