Haitian music, Irish dance and First Nations storytelling at the Pincourt Intercultural Festival
The Town of Pincourt invites the public to its Intercultural Festival. The event will take place on September 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Bellevue Park.
This year, over 30 partners representing more than 15 countries will be on hand with food, crafts, activities and services.
“The Pincourt Intercultural Festival is a true celebration of the diversity that enriches our community. Every year, this event allows us to discover, learn and share the traditions and cultures of our neighbors. I urge you to participate and enjoy this unique experience, where every step transports you to another corner of the world,” said Pincourt Mayor Claude Comeau.
The festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with the Afro-folk trio, Noubi Trio. Flamenco, belly dancing, Haitian voodoo, Irish dance, Native storytelling and legends, and klezmer music will follow.
“For many years now, Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges has been an unwavering supporter of the Festival interculturel de Pincourt, which has gone from strength to strength, locally, regionally and beyond. The true richness of this festival lies in the quality of the intercultural relations that animate our community's desire to learn and collaborate harmoniously”, added Sébastien Laliberté, General Manager of event partner Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
Please note that in the event of inclement weather, the festival will be cancelled altogether.
