Seven weeks of demolition and excavation work on rue Bourget
On the eve of the start of the new school year, the Ville de Rigaud wishes to remind residents that demolition and excavation work began on rue Bourget on Monday August 19, and will continue for approximately seven weeks.
Throughout the work, collection services will be maintained, as will access for local residents (their visitors, suppliers and contractors) and for emergency and transport vehicles.
Parents of Collège Bourget students, visitors to the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes sanctuary and arena users must follow the signs indicating the detour to be taken via Hôtel-de-Ville, Saint-Viateur and de Lourdes streets.
Collège Bourget will inform parents of the temporary drop-off zone on rue de Lourdes, near the arena. Parents must respect Collège Bourget's instructions for the safety of students.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to heavy traffic on rue de Lourdes, a school zone. Please allow extra time for travel.
The city would like to point out that this work is being carried out to make the Rue Bourget school zone safer. All motorists are asked to protect the lives of children by respecting traffic regulations, especially in the presence of a school bus.
