For the next few days, commuters on the Vaudreuil/Hudson line will have to find a Plan B to get around. As of midnight, some 93,000 Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) workers are officially locked out.

This Canada-wide work stoppage is having a major impact not only on freight transport, but also on the Vaudreuil/Hudson commuter train line, which uses CP tracks.

As a result, exo has had to suspend train service in Vaudreuil-Soulanges and implement alternative measures as of August 26, including a shuttle service.

Shuttle 1

- From Vaudreuil station platform 13 to Côte-Vertu metro terminus platform 21 between 5 a.m. and 8:50 a.m.

- From Côte-Vertu metro terminus platform 21 to Vaudreuil station platform 13 between 3:15 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.

Shuttle 2

- From Pincourt station to Dorion station and from Dorion station to Vaudreuil station platform 11 between 4:50 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. (8:25 a.m. at Dorion).

- From Vaudreuil station platform 11 to Dorion station and from Dorion station to Pincourt station between 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (7:42 p.m. at Dorion).

Alternative regular service
- From Hudson station, you can still travel with lines 21 and 40.
- From Vaudreuil station, you can still use line 40.
- From Dorion station, you can still travel with lines 15 and 40.
- From Pincourt station, lines 15, 35 and 40 are always available.
- From Île-Perrot station, you can still use lines 15, 35 and 40.

Please note that no shuttle bus will be able to replace train trips 11, 13, 24, 26, 30, 31 and 41.

“The bus shuttles that will be offered will not be able to compensate for the entire service of the three affected train lines, especially in the middle of the back-to-school period. We are confident that we will be able to deploy a number of bus shuttles as early as Monday August 26. Our efforts will focus on providing service during peak periods,” says exo spokesman Éric Edström.

The shuttles will be free of charge. However, users will need valid tickets to connect with other modes of transport. Monthly and single TRAIN passes will be honored on exo buses, at REM stations Gare Centrale and Brossard, and at metro stations Cartier and Côte-Vertu on August 22 and 23. As of August 24, monthly TRAIN passes will be accepted on exo buses and at the above-mentioned stations until further notice.
