The Paris Olympic Games are well underway, and Canada has already won 6 medals, ranking 9th in the world.

Throughout the competition, which runs until August 11, some sixty Quebec athletes will be competing in various disciplines in the hope of returning home with a medal.

Among them is L'Île-Perrot triathlete Emy Legaut, who took the start from the Alexandre III bridge on Wednesday, July 31, after days of uncertainty about whether the event would take place at all, due to water quality in the Seine.

The 28-year-old athlete came in 35th with a time of 2h01.54s.

Rosalie Lalonde will also be taking part in the Paralympic Games, to be held in Paris from August 28 to September 8. This will be the third Games for the Saint-Clet-born wheelchair basketball player.

For the next few weeks, the Games will be at the heart of world news, and they inspired Neomedia's question of the week. Do you follow the Olympic Games? To take the survey, click here.
