MRC general manager steps down
After 16 years as Director General and Clerk-Treasurer of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Guy-Lin Beaudoin will be stepping down as of July 30, 2024.
“Following this consensual decision, the MRC wishes to acknowledge Mr. Beaudoin's contribution to the advancement of the regional institution that is the MRC today,” states a brief press release issued on Tuesday.
On June 19, the MRC's elected representatives mandated the Loranger Marcoux firm and the Human Resources Committee to investigate Mr. Beaudoin. Mr. Beaudoin was suspended for the duration of the proceedings.
For reasons of confidentiality, no details were given of the allegations made against Mr. Beaudoin.
In the absence of Mr. Beaudoin and Assistant General Manager Simon Bellemare, Alexandre Lambert, Acting Assistant General Manager, assumes the duties of Acting General Manager, while Marie-Hélène Rivest, Notary and Acting Director of the MRC Clerk's Office, assumes those of Acting Clerk-Treasurer.
