On the premises of City Hall
Pointe-Fortune now has its own library
There's something new at Pointe-Fortune Town Hall. Thanks to the volunteer efforts of Sandra Lavoratore and Lucie Pagé, as well as donations from the community and the Rigaud and Très-Saint-Rédempteur libraries, a small library has been set up and expanded.
Visitors will find a wider selection of novels in French and English, as well as books for teens and children, and a variety of biographies and documentaries. To facilitate consultation, various sections have been created, and novels are now listed alphabetically by author.
All citizens are invited to browse the shelves and borrow one or more books. To encourage as many readers as possible and keep the library organized, books should be returned within a reasonable timeframe (three or four weeks maximum), and returns and donations should be deposited in the bin provided (on the large bench). For the time being, we have opted for self-service, with no checks. Please note that donations of books or shelves in good condition are still accepted on site.
The library is open during office hours (Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm) and on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm (except in summer).
