Canada Day celebrations in three Hudson locations
This year's Canada Day celebrations in Hudson will take place in three phases. They will be held on Sunday, June 30, at St. Thomas Park, the Community Centre and Jack Layton Park.
Starting at 2 p.m., young and old alike will be at St. Thomas Park to enjoy inflatable games, miniature golf, face painting and other on-site entertainment.
Also on site will be:
- LGBTQ+ organization;
- Hudson Firefighters with their obstacle course;
- Alibi barn ($);
- Microbrasserie Cardinal ($);
- Mikko café ($);
- Pop culture ($);
At 7 p.m., speeches, flag-raising and cupcake tasting. O Canada will be sung by the Hudson Youth Choir. At 8 p.m., the Groove Affair will take the stage to present their show, an uninterrupted musical experience with a varied repertoire featuring the greatest hits from the 60s to today. Six artists who stand out for their dynamic, entertaining show.
Interested families can bring their own picnics and camping chairs for added comfort.
At 3 p.m., Wapikoni Mobile Films will be playing at the community center. The traditional fireworks display will take place in Jack-Layton Park at 10pm.
