June 3 in Les Coteaux: flushing of aqueduct north of Highway 20

The municipality of Les Coteaux will start to flush the water supply system on Monday, June 3, in the area north of Highway 20. Flushing in the area south of Highway 20 has already been completed.

Why flush the water system? 

In order to maintain the water supply system, the municipality flushes the pipes throughout its territory. Flushing largely eliminates the iron residues that accumulate over time.

Precautions to be taken

The water may be cloudy, with a drop in pressure or the smell of chlorine. In this case, let the cold water run from the tap, and it should return to its natural appearance after a few minutes.

It is also advisable not to wash if the water is cloudy. In this sense, water quality should be checked before using it for the duration of the work.
