Rues Delisle, Pauline and Duckett
Three major projects to come this summer on the Coteaux territory
This summer, the Municipalité des Coteaux will be undertaking major work to replace and rehabilitate water and sewer pipes on various streets.
Here are the details of the work planned:
Trench replacement work on Delisle Street, between Pauline Street and 80 Delisle Street (185 metres):
Between June and August 2024 A trench will be dug to replace the old aqueduct and combined sewer pipes and install new pipes, separating the sanitary and storm systems. The asphalt will then be resurfaced. The redevelopment of the street will allow construction of a pedestrian walkway between Sauvé and Gazonnière streets.
Sheathing work on rue Pauline (350 m):
Between June and August 2024 Existing aqueduct and sanitary sewer lines will be rehabilitated without digging trenches. However, the asphalt will be drilled at strategic points to insert a membrane inside the pipes. The street's storm drainage system will not be affected.
Complete rehabilitation of Duckett Street (170 m):
Fall 2024 Due to sewer back-up problems, pipe rehabilitation work on Duckett Street will be brought forward to 2024. The combined sewer system will be replaced by a sanitary and storm sewer system, and the aqueduct will be replaced at the same time.
At the appropriate time, the Municipalité des Coteaux will broadcast on its communication networks the detours to be made.
The municipality has obtained a $1.9-million grant from the Programme d'infrastructure municipale d'eau (PRIMEAU) to finance part of the work on Delisle and Pauline streets; another grant application for $604,000 has been submitted for work on Duckett street.
