Last competition of the season for the Gymini club
The Gymini artistic gymnastics club closed its competitive season this weekend in Granby at the Coupe provinciale N4 to N6. Athletes returned home with numerous prizes.
Naomie Savoie, competing in the N6 15+ category, ended her season by placing 4th overall on apparatus. She took 8th place on floor and gold on uneven bars. She also ranked among the best in her category in Quebec.
In the N6 13-14 category, Sofy Panfilii distinguished herself on uneven bars with an excellent score of 9.5, earning her 5th place. On vault, she placed 7th.
Marianne Di Turi, in the same category as her team-mate, followed up her beam routine perfectly, ending the year with a season's best cumulative score of 36.275 out of 40.
Anaïs Robert finished very close to the podium with a 5th place on vault. Her best cumulative result of the season tied her with teammate and friend Marianne Di Turi.
Despite suffering a foot injury a few days before the competition, Marianne Blain took part in the event. Initially ranked 62nd out of 64, she managed to climb to 43rd place in Quebec. Her mastered routine on the uneven bars was particularly remarkable.
Mackenzie Kra, in the N4 9-10 category, scored 8.2 on powder despite a fall, and 8.75 for her floor routine.
She particularly distinguished herself on vault, where she finished in 6th place with a score of 9.175.
Emma Lawn, in the N6 11-12 category, finished her best competition of the year in Granby.Throughout the year, she moved up the rankings, showing steady progress.
Finally, Noémie Vincent, in the N6 13-14 category, concluded a fine year despite a few bumps in the road during this competition. Her performance on the uneven bars was particularly noteworthy.
