For the first time, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region will host the next two editions of the Provincial Cross-Country Championships, on October 26, 2024 and October 25, 2026. The major competition, which will bring together over 800 athletes from across Quebec, will be held at Parc nature les forestiers de Saint-Lazare.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, May 21, by the Club d'Athlétisme de Vaudreuil-Dorion (CAVD), École de technologie supérieure and Cégep de Valleyfield, the trio at the helm of the organization of the 2024 and 2025 editions of the competition, which will bring together the civilian, college and university streams.

“This event represents an exceptional opportunity to highlight the dynamism excellence of our civilian, college and university athletes, as well as the passion" Claude David, Director of the CAVD and member of the competition's organizing committee.

Athletes aged 12 to 26 will take part in the events. For the Benjamins and Cadets, it will be their Provincial Championships, while for participants in the Juvenile, Junior and Senior categories, it will be selection for the Quebec teams for the Canadian Championships.

A 6 km circuit will also be open to all.
