245-units 100% rental housing project launched in Vaudreuil-Dorion
The official ground-breaking ceremony for the Verdora real estate development project in Vaudreuil-Dorion took place on Tuesday. Located on boulevard Harwood, between avenue Saint-Jean-Baptiste and route de Lotbinière, the complex will comprise 245 residential rental units in two buildings. Delivery is scheduled for September 2025.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Vaudreuil-Dorion mayor Guy Pilon, district councillor Luc Marsan, developer Legacy Développement Immobilier and partners and investors Développement Immobilier Capital Inc. and Alluvia Immobilier. Geiger Huot architectes is responsible for the architecture, while Magil Construction is in charge of construction.
“The Verdora project is located in an area that is undergoing a major transformation and has enormous development potential. Interest in the Harwood - De Lotbinière sector is exceeding our expectations, and its redevelopment is becoming more concrete than ever. More than two million of public investment have been made in recent years, and more than 100 million are planned. The potential for investors and merchants is enormous,” says Vaudreuil-Dorion mayor Guy Pilon.
The Verdora complex will feature a total of 245 residential rental units in two buildings of three and six storeys. Of these units, 10% will qualify as affordable.The project will offer a range of unit types, from studios to 5 1/2 units, including five appliances and a private balcony. Part of the first floor will be dedicated to commercial use.
As its name suggests, Verdora will feature green courtyards at the center of the two buildings. These will create a linear park integrated into the project's architecture, as will its green roofs and common spaces.The complex will include, among other things, a training room, tiered indoor parking, charging stations and a dog grooming area.
