Green sand filter project progressing well in Les Cèdres
The municipality of Les Cèdres would like to inform the public of an update on the green sand filter project. On April 30, certificates of authorization from the Ministère de l'Environnement (MELCCFP) were received, enabling work to begin on this long-awaited project.
Dynamic management back on Île-aux-Tourtes bridge as of May 27
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to inform the public that progress on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will enable dynamic traffic management to be reinstated on Monday, May 27.

Hudson residents finally made their choice in a poll to elect the town's official bird. Between the Chimney Swift, the Barn Swallow, the Wood Thrush, the American Kingfisher and the Meadowlark, the respondents chose the fourth.
Child abused in daycare: no charges laid in the file
It's official: no charges will be laid in the case of the toddler who was allegedly physically abused at his family daycare in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area. The decision of the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP) was announced on Friday, May 10.
Sandy Beach: $100 fines await offenders
A draft by-law was tabled at the Hudson Municipal Council on May 6, concerning the terms and conditions surrounding the closure of Sandy Beach for the summer season. The by-law will be adopted at a special meeting to be held on Monday, May 13.
Hudson announces the imminent lifting of its interim control by-law
Implemented in 2022, the interim control by-law (ICB) for the protection of wetlands of interest in the Town of Hudson could be officially lifted by the end of summer 2024. The lifting of the by-law is subject to approval of by-laws 767-2024 and 768-2024 by the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC. The MRC has 120 days in which to make its decision.
Les Cèdres: the "Mettre les mains à la pâte" exhibition travels
The Mettre les mains à la pâte exhibition is travelling. It closes on May 15 at the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and opens on May 18 at the Bibliothèque Gaby-Farmer-Denis in Les Cèdres. "It will be the same works and the same artists, with a new layout inspired by spring markets," says multidisciplinary artist Annick Gauvreau. The exhibition will run in the multi-purpose hall until June 14.
Lakeshore Hospital: A modular emergency awaiting major renovation
On Monday, Health Minister Christian Dubé inaugurated the new modular building at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire. This temporary facility houses a modern emergency room, adapted to the needs of patients and staff, while the hospital's expansion work is completed. The brand-new modular emergency department will welcome its first patients on May 15.

A successful first edition for the Maison de la Famille lobster dinner
Some 200 people gathered at the Summerlea Golf Club on Thursday for the Maison de la Famille de Vaudreuil-Soulanges' first fundraising dinner. This first fundraising event marked the end of a major campaign to raise the funds needed to build the new home in Saint-Zotique. Thanks to the generosity of our guests and partners, a total of $77,563 was raised, all of which will be used to support families in the region.
