Fondation Impact de Montréal: Les Coteaux to get multi-sports field
At its annual “C'est mieux en bleu” event last Thursday evening, the Montreal Impact Foundation announced that the Municipality of Les Coteaux has been selected to build one of the first two fields in the second phase of its multi-sports field project at Audrey Park. These asphalt or concrete structures, to which an acrylic coating will be applied, will be surrounded by a galvanized steel modular structure. Construction will start this spring.
Among the community organizations and cities from across Quebec that submitted nominations, the Municipality of Les Coteaux caught the attention of the Montreal Impact Foundation's selection committee for the eloquence of its presentation and its compliance with the criteria.
"We are honoured and excited to welcome a Montreal Impact Foundation multisport field to our municipality,” said Sylvain Brazeau, Mayor of Les Coteaux. "This project embodies our values of accessibility, community collaboration and youth well-being. We are grateful to the Foundation for this support, which will improve the quality of life of children and families in our municipality, including those from vulnerable backgrounds. Together, we are creating a dynamic, unifying and inclusive space for our community.”
“It is with an immense sense of pride that we offer these mini-terrains to these two municipalities,” expressed Montreal Impact Foundation President Carmie Saputo. "This initiative testifies to our commitment to building new structures that follow current trends, with the aim of serving young people from diverse communities by offering them safe, quality spaces.”
More details will be shared in the coming days.
