On Saturday, April 27, Perrot's elected officials celebrated the invaluable contribution of volunteers to community, cultural, artistic and sporting life in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot at an evening of recognition at the Windmill Heights Golf Club.

More than 120 volunteers, representing the 30 or so sports, cultural and community associations that serve the community of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, accepted the invitation extended by members of the town council.

Danie Deschênes, mayor of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot, emphasizes: “It is essential for the councillors and myself to thank the volunteers for their contribution to the quality of life we all enjoy. Life at NDIP wouldn't be the same without you!

The elected officials also took the opportunity to present the Prix Hubert-Leduc to Manon Gagnon. She has been a member of the NDIP Tennis Club Board of Directors for over 15 years. Acting as secretary, she is responsible for updating the Club's database and documentation, managing course registrations and much more. She is essential to the smooth running of the club.

Registrations are an intense time, and she does an extraordinary job with great rigor. Thanks to her, the NDIP Tennis Club is a healthy association that introduces many NDIP youngsters to the sport in a well-organized setting.

The Hubert-Leduc Award recognizes the extraordinary involvement of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot volunteers. The award is named in memory of Hubert Leduc, one of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot's first volunteers and founder of the town's recreation department.
