Five upcoming blood drives in Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Héma-Québec will be visiting the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region a few times over the next two weeks to hold blood drives. Those interested in taking part can already make an appointment to donate.
Here are the upcoming clinics:
Hudson:
Date: Monday, April 22, 1:30 p.m.-7 p.m;
Location: Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre Shaar Community Center (394 Main Street, Hudson, QC J0P 1H0)
Donation goal: 50;
Ste-Marthe:
Date: Wednesday, April 24, 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm;
Location: Centre social et sportif de Sainte-Marthe ( 776 Rue des Loisirs, Sainte-Marthe, QC J0P 1W0)
Donation goal: 60;
Pincourt:
Date: Thursday, April 25, from 1 to 7:30 p.m;
Location: Edgewater Elementary School ( 220 Bd Cardinal Léger, Pincourt, QC J7W 3Y5);
Donation goal: 135;
Île-Perrot:
Date: Thursday, May 2, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m;
Location: Centre communautaire Paul-Émile-Lépine (150 Bd Perrot, L'Île-Perrot, QC J7V 3G1)
Donation goal: 60;
Saint-Zotique:
Date: Friday, May 3 from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m;
Location: Fire Station (05 Av. 69e, Saint-Zotique, QC J0P 1Z0)
Donation goal: 110.
We recommend that you make an appointment to donate blood. However, if you happen to be passing by a blood drive and are available to donate, don't hesitate to check with the team on site to see if they can accommodate you.
Before giving blood
In the hours leading up to your blood donation, we recommend that you drink a minimum of 500 ml of water or juice and eat well, avoiding fatty foods. To make blood collection easier, wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up above the elbow.
You should also carry your donor card or proof of identity.
