Vaudreuil-Soulanges photographer takes part in Une pose pour le rose
Friday, March 8 saw the official launch of the sixth edition of the UNE POSE POUR LE ROSE campaign, initiated by Marilyn Bouchard of Pigment b Photo et Design, to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). A photographer from Vaudreuil-Soulanges will be taking part on Saturday, April 27, when she holds a photo shoot for the cause in Les Coteaux.
This year, the goal is to bring together 150 volunteer photographers from across Quebec to raise $275,000 for the breast cancer cause.
Between April 13 and 28, women aged 18 and over from all walks of life are invited to have their photos taken for the unique price of $25 per photo. The photo sessions can be enhanced, at the photographer's discretion, by the presence of make-up artists, hairdressers or other professionals, whose profits will also be donated to the CCS.
" I am participating with conviction in this year's "A Pose for Pink" event, motivated by a very personal and profound reason.A dear friend of mine had to go through a heartbreaking ordeal related to breast cancer. Her courage and strength inspired me, but above all, inspired me to act. By volunteering as a photographer for this event, I want to offer her tangible, heartfelt support. It's my way of showing my solidarity and love. Through this action, I want to help raise awareness and support for those who are fighting this disease, and offer a ray of light to those who need it", says the Pointe-Fortune resident.
On Saturday, April 27, Pascale Montesano will be at Café Nova in Les Coteaux from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to immortalize women on film. Appointments can be made via her website, in the section Une Pose pour le Rose: https://www.creationpascalemontesano.com/d-tails-et-inscription/une-pose-le-rose.
What motivated him to take part in this provincial initiative? " This is my first year as a volunteer photographer, it's an event that requires a lot of time and organization, and this year I decided to sign up.When I decided to become a volunteer photographer, I had no particular expectations as to the number of participants or sponsors.I was more than delighted to see the strong participation of women and the generosity of local businesses, as well as their involvement in the event. It's wonderful to see the outpouring of love and support.I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Maude Henrico, owner of Café Nova. It's thanks to her that this event will be a resounding success. "
To date, Une pose pour le rose has raised over one million dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society.
