Voltigeurs program
Collège Bourget de Rigaud: a new football coach
Collège Bourget is proud to announce the appointment of Jean-Gabriel Poulin as head of football for the Voltigeurs program. After three years as a full-time player at the Collège, Mr. Poulin succeeds to Yannick Morin-Plante, who is leaving to take up new challenges.
In 2023, Mr. Poulin was defensive coordinator for the college's two provincial teams. He won the Bol d'or D2 in 2021.
He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Western Ontario and has two years' experience as a professional soccer player with the Montreal Alouettes (3rd-round pick in the 2018 CFL draft).
As a student athlete, Mr. Poulin played linebacker with the University of Western Ontario Mustangs from 2014 to 2017. His time in Ontario was crowned with success: two All-Canadian nominations, a Canadian championship in 2017 and the Male Athlete of the Year award in his final year in London. At the collegiate level, he won the Bol d'or with the Collège Vanier Cheetahs in 2012.
Mr. Poulin is therefore delighted to have agreed to take over a program in full expansion, thanks to the remarkable work of Mr. Morin-Plante. He is proud to be able to contribute to the program and share his experience with the young Voltigeurs. In addition to his new administrative role, Jean-Gabriel will be the new head coach of the Juvenile D1 team.
