High winds, rain, snow, equipment breakdowns, broken trees - in short, the causes of power outages are varied, and let's face it, outages are relatively common in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.

Just last week, at the height of the crisis, the spring storm plunged more than 17,000 households into darkness. While many had their power restored within a few hours, others had to wait 24 or even 48 hours.

The situation inspired this week's Neomedia question: Frequent power outages: Are you satisfied with Hydro-Québec's actions? Néomédia readers voted on the question, choosing one of the following answers:

- Yes, absolutely: 5.6%;

- Yes, they are effective despite everything: 3.7%;

- Yes, but with climate change, they should adapt more quickly: 18.5%;

- No, outages are too frequent: 50%;

- No, recovery takes too long: 22.2%;

- No, and I'm thinking of switching to solar power: 0%.
