The Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CCIVS) could well be named Chamber of Commerce of the Year at the Gala des chambres 2024.

Each year, the Gala des chambres de commerce celebrates the management and know-how of directors and their teams across all regions of Quebec. The awards recognize chambers of commerce or individuals active in the chamber network who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements over the previous year.

"We are delighted and honoured to be among the finalists in the Chamber of Commerce of the Year category. This nomination is in itself a fine recognition of the excellent work carried out by the CCIVS permanent staff. Having already won the Innovative Project of the Year award in 2022, we are well aware of the quality of the applications received by the FCCQ, which adds to the pride we feel in this nomination," says Mathieu Miljours, General Manager of the CCIVS.

The jury for the Gala des chambres de commerce competition met on March 22 to select the finalists.

"It is with great honor that we take part each year in this magnificent celebration, which highlights the contribution of chambers of commerce to the social and entrepreneurial fabric of Quebec. Their presence in our various regions is crucial to our economic development," added Martial Laniel, Quebec Director of the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan (CCGIP) and main sponsor of the Grande Rencontre and Gala des chambres de commerce.

For his part, Charles Millard, President and CEO of the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, congratulated the finalists. "The Gala des chambres is a unique opportunity to highlight the hard work accomplished throughout the year by the chambers of commerce and their teams. Their support for entrepreneurs and their communities contributes greatly to the economic vitality of our regions."

Presented by the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan, the gala will take place on May 14, 2024 at the Centre de Congrès de Saint-Hyacinthe.
