Exo is reminding commuters that as of this Monday, April 1, the Lucien-L'Allier station will close for major renovations until the fall of 2024. Consequently, commuters on the Vaudreuil/Hudson line will have to disembark at Vendôme station. They can then transfer to the Vendôme metro station to continue their journey.

Exo is obliged to close the station during the works, due to the current state of deterioration of the station's platforms, which represent a major obstacle and require increasingly frequent maintenance work.

The work to be carried out involves rebuilding the station's four platforms, bringing infrastructure and systems up to standard, adding a canopy to protect users from bad weather, adding two emergency exits and extending track number six.

According to exo, the new layout will also facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.

As to whether users' journey times will be affected, exo estimates that the connection at Vendôme metro station will lengthen journey times by around 2 to 4 minutes, equivalent to the walking time between the station and the metro platform. The metro journey between Vendôme and Lucien-L'Allier stations takes around 6 minutes.
