Two teams occupy top spot
Club de Basketball de L'Ouest is crowned champion
The Club de Basketball de L'Ouest (CBO) Bantam AA and Cadet AA teams have been named champions of the Montreal Basketball League (MBL).
The Bantam AA's exceptional regular-season and playoff performances impressed many during what has been described as a historic season. In fact, the regional team posted a perfect record of 18 wins and no losses.
As for the Cadet AA, their resilience in the face of injury and their determination to reach their goal despite the challenges they faced speak volumes about their character and team spirit. The team also finished in pole position in the standings, with 14 wins and just one defeat.
Two members honoured
The organization would also like to salute the involvement of two of its members. Firstly, Alexis Sigouin for winning the MVP award for his leadership and dedication. Number 7 has been with the CBOs since the age of 5, and was recognized as the Most Valuable Player at the cadet AA level.
Finally, the CBOs salute the dedication of coach Marc-Patrick Benoit, who was presented with the MBL Coach of the Year award at the cadet AA level. This recognition is a true testament to his boundless commitment, expertise and coaching leadership.
