Annual Recognition Evening
Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion donates nearly $900,000 to its organizations
Nearly $900,000 was donated to community, cultural, sports and leisure organizations in the Vaudreuil-Dorion area, at the annual "Soirée de reconnaissance des organismes" held on March 14. The funds raised will be used to support the organizations in their various activities.
Some 130 volunteers from 50 organizations took part in the event, hosted by Étienne Dano. Mayor Guy Pilon underlined the contribution these organizations make to the population's quality of life.
"If Vaudreuil-Dorion is such a dynamic city, it's in large part thanks to the wide range of activities offered by our many organizations. As a city, we put in place the necessary infrastructures, but it's our volunteers who bring them to life with their sports, cultural and community activities for the entire population, all generations included. Thank you for helping to make Vaudreuil-Dorion a great place to live," said Mayor Guy Pilon.
Each year, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion provides financial assistance to its organizations, as well as logistical support for their events, and meeting and storage space.
